My Everyday Smoothie recipe — Nothing in Here by Accident

If you’ve been following my smoothie series, this is where all those little ingredient introductions come together. This is my everyday smoothie recipe—the one I make every single morning. And yes, I’m still happy to drink it. We’re in a committed relationship at this point.

I put thought into what goes in it, but making it is simple. I appreciate that. Some mornings already ask enough of us before we’ve even had breakfast.

Taking care of myself is one way I practice stewarding the body God gave me. Some days that looks like a thoughtful meal. Other days, it’s remembering that I need to eat, too. This is one small rhythm that helps me follow through.

Homemade everyday smoothie with vanilla protein, guava, moringa, and warm spices

My Everyday Smoothie Recipe

Makes one smoothie

  • 1 cube frozen guava pulp (100 g), thawed for about 10 minutes

  • Just under 1 cup milk of your choice (I typically choose A2 grass-fed, grass-finished raw milk or the A2 brand)

  • 1 scoop Equip vanilla protein

  • 1 scoop collagen

  • 1 scoop moringa

  • 1 scoop creatine

  • 1 teaspoon of my homemade spice blend below

  • A pinch of salt

Blend everything until smooth and enjoy. That’s the whole morning production. No garnish required, unless you’re having a particularly ambitious Tuesday.

How I Make My Frozen Guava Pulp

This takes a little preparation up front, but I love having the guava ready when I need it. Morning me appreciates the help. She has enough going on.

  1. Start with ripe, tender guavas. Give them a gentle squeeze to check that they’ve softened, then wash thoroughly.

  2. Trim and quarter. Cut off both ends, then cut each guava into fourths.

  3. Blend in small batches until you have a purée.

  4. Strain out the seeds. Work the purée through a canning funnel with a mesh strainer, collecting the smooth pulp in a bowl underneath. Discard the seeds left behind.

  5. Measure your portions. Place your silicone mold on a kitchen scale and press tare to reset it to zero. Spoon the pulp into the cavities, weighing each portion as you go.

  6. Gently shake to level the pulp, cover, and freeze.

A little preparation now means one less thing to do before breakfast. And sometimes, that’s exactly the kind of care we need. 🤍

My Homemade Spice Blend

Mix together:

Store in a sealed jar and use 1 teaspoon per smoothie. This makes approximately 25 servings, so you can measure once and let tomorrow’s you enjoy the convenience.

Everything I Use

If you came here from the series looking for a particular ingredient, I’ve gathered everything here:

And if you need the gentle reminder I sometimes need myself: you’re allowed to put a little care into your own breakfast, even when there are people waiting on you. You need tending to, too. 🤍
